At its core, New Personas is an alt rock/grunge duo hailing from Norwich/Northampton.

They began writing and performing in 2016 and have slowly refined their sound and presence with a focus on detuned, distorted bass guitar; punchy drums, brooding lyrics and a tinge of … well, lunacy on the stage.

Vocalist/bass player, Joe, veers between driving power chords and ear-hooking riffs while lyrically expressing an inner turmoil that likely speaks beyond himself; often encouraging the listener to reflect on their own place in the world.

Songs like ‘Rinse Repeat’, ‘Staring At Your Feet’, ‘Even Low’ and ‘Inherent In The System’ look to provide a window into a life all too ordinary; making one consider their own state-of-being. This existential crisis however becomes forgotten as we are pulled past the spoken word and enter the raw, thick sound produced by Tom’s drums and Joe’s Bass VI set up.
